Confidence Microfinance Bank commenced operations in 1995; was incorporated as a Private Limited Liability Company in Nigeria with registration number RC270471 dated 24th April 1995.
The license to carry on the business as a Mortgage Finance Institution was issued to the Bank on 21st August 1995 with the number 000305. The approval-in-principle was given to the Bank by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to convert from a primary mortgage institution to the status of a Microfinance Bank by letter dated 27th August 2007.
The name of the bank was changed to Confidence Microfinance Bank Limited as per the certificate of incorporation dated 12th February 2008. The approval for a final license was issued to the Bank by a letter dated 27th July 2009.
